- It gives us great pleasure to invite you to attend the World Conference on Acoustic Emission-2023 (WCAE-2023) which is sponsored by International Society on Acoustic Emission (ISAE) and organized by the Chinese Society for Non-destructive Testing (ChSNDT) and China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute (CSEI).
- This event follows the successful conferences, WCAE-2011 in Beijing, China, WCAE-2013 in Shanghai, China, WCAE-2015 in Hawaii, USA, WCAE-2017 in Xi’an, China and WCAE-2019 in Guangzhou, China. The 1st officers of ISAE were elected during the WCAE-2013, And the 2nd officers of ISAE were elected during the WCAE-2017. The standing office for ISAE has been funded by the Chinese Society for Non-destructive Testing and China Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute. The web-page of ISAE has been registered as www.TheISAE.org.cn to be the official site. The selection of sites of WCAE-2023 was determined by the ISAE Executive Committee through consultation. It will be held in November 14-17, 2023 in Chengdu, China.
- ISAE is organized exclusively for the purposes of promoting scientific, technical and educational exchanges worldwide, primarily in the following:
- Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan province, is located in Chengdu plains in the center of Sichuan basin. With an area of 12,100 square kilometers and a permanent population of 16.98 million, Chengdu is the fourth most populous city in China. With a civilization of 4500 years and a city history of 3100 years, Chengdu is the only city in China whose name and location have never been changed throughout the ages. Chengdu is the starting point of the famous Silk Road in southern China. Sichuan is known as the "Country of Heaven" and the "Land of Abundance". Chengdu have the famous Sanxingdui culture, World Heritage Site of Dujiangyan, and the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, etc. Chengdu was recognized by UNESCO as a city of gastronomy. Chengdu enjoys convenient transportation and pleasant weather.
- In November, 2023, the WCAE-2023 will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
